Does Monster-s Really Do Only 6000 Dmg

Hello, forgive me for my poor english,I will try my best to show you that firestorm is very impressive and worth u to try it!
Actually,I don't want to write this build, because of my poor english. However, when 2.1 comes,GGG makes the firestorm's damage be 20% higher at 20level,I should say I am surprised.
Really,I think firestorm should be nerfed at 2.1:).
Now,this is Ax's firestorm.
The Sarn Encampment dps,
6L:firestorm-spell echo-increased duration-concentrated effect-increased critical strikes-added cold dmg.You will see this is my true avg dmg.
Now,2.1's tooltips:
Fine, let's talk about the firestorm, something I used that can find in poewiki.
Here's firestorm Functions and Interactions form wiki:
Area of Effect: Increased AoE will increase both the area in which the fireballs randomly fall and also the radius of the individual fireball damage. Full spell damage is done at any point within the AoE of a fireball, however due to the fact that enemies take up an area, and not simply a point less spell damage is dealt to any given enemy as area increases. This is why, contrary to popular belief, increasing the AoE of Firestorm decreases the average number of hits to single target.
Duration: Increasing duration with either supports or passives will increase the total number of fireballs that fall before the spell ends.

The firestorm's 2.0 changes:
Had a very slight damage buff.
Area of effect of explosions increased by 11% (9 to 10).
It now grants 1% area damage per 1% quality instead of reduced delay between fireballs.
The Duration of Firestorm has been increased from 1.3 seconds to 2 seconds at all levels.
Base Cast Speed has been increased from a cast time of 1 second to 900ms.
Critical Strike Chance has been increased from 5% to 6%.
And one thing wiki does not show:Damage effectiveness:20% to 30%.
These are huge buff,right?
So,I find a lot of damage increased point of firestorm:
Duration,cast speed,XX-XX dmg to spells,critical strike,and appropriate radius.
why I choose these support gem?
Spell echo:
This gem will reduced the tooltips dmg,but it is really nessesary because its more ast speed.Notice:cast speed does not change the tooltips dmg!
Increased Duration:
Can find in Functions and Interactions.
Concentrated Effect:
Also can find in Functions and Interactions.
Added cold damage:
In 2.0,added XX-XX dmg to spells is very good mod for firestorm, and cold damage that deals cri strike will freeze monsters, will be safe, plz notice:cri strike can only freeze the normal monsters, lots of magic monsters, but it is hard to freeze bosses and high-life rare monster.
Increased critical strikes:
Oh,this is a unusual gem,why choose it?Why I do not choose cast speed? In my real test result, this gem is very powerful for firestorm,it makes my firestorm cri strikes chance be 52.56% in sarn encampment,61%+ with 3 power charge. As cold damage can freeze,it will make me safe a lot. However, cast speed is good enough.
*2.1 changes very little for firestorm, passives tree and gears choice doesn't change a lot.

The price of these wand are all below 15chaos in warband after 15days,although u should try to find these. You can see added xx-xx dmg to spells and high cri chance to spells are nessesary mods.
You can buy a normal 6L armour, then alc it,chaos it to the mods u wanted.

the shoes can use another rare one or blood dance, rare one can have life and some res, blood dance can have more dmg without gmp-frenzy.
other gears are all cheap without the ruby ring, but that ring is my loot and is not nessesary, you will see my huge cold res below:)
so these gear should choose these mods:life regenaration(very very good for ZO),the res u like, life, some es,some str and dex.

Don't laugh at my flasks:)

it's a small size monster's dps show,if it is bigger, the highest sustained dps will be up to 1500k lol.

uh,plz notice, the low-life firestorm build maybe 15k avg dmg+,u can try it!However, lost the life flasks uses, the build may be a little dangerous.High number of hits and life leech will help u a lot.
Thanks a lot for reading, and forgive me for my poor english again.
Forgive me if I could not reply you faster.
Let's enjoy POE in 2.1.Good Luck!

Does Monster-s Really Do Only 6000 Dmg Mean

Their “career advisors“ are only interested in taking your money and the rest of the company does not care on following through on the guarantees that they promise. I jumped into Monster's. Nov 30, 2017  I mention, if there is a lot of beyond archers or any other mobs with heavy physical dmg on hand, they could probably strike you simultaneously, and that's more on ggg rather than on difference between 60k and 120k Armour. If those monsters can hit me with 1500 while 120k armour, with 60k it will be still not much - 2,3k dmg for my 7k life.

Interesting that mino's slam and burrow attacks are listed at not converting 30% to lightning, unlike his normal attacks and the sweep.
Also, do the falling rocks from a slam deal the same damage as the slam itself?

I'm not exactly sure, my best guess based on how it felt when I got hit is, yes it does the same damage if not a little more damage than the slam.
The slam should be doing something like 7414 with physical damage which would be about 3950 on my character. And one of the rocks definitely hit me for at least that much.
Edit: Slight edit. The slam would be doing 9638 damage because my Minotaur was possessed by Cutthroat Tormented Spirit which increased physical damage by 30%. I'd get hit for about 5756, which sounds more correct when rewatching the video.

You should try T15 Malachai 1st phase sceptre slam and Shaper slam, these are the hardest phys oneshots from my experience.
Btw why don't you use shield charge instead of flame dash in your claw? Additional fortify on top of all defences should shine.

I did shaper later that day and it hit hard, haha. Somewhere around 8,500 slam damage when I had like one or two endurance charges. (I decided to tank it, because science).
I'll post a vid of shaper this weekend if I have time if people what to see how 17,000 physical damage hits 65,000 armor.

I don't use shield charge because my claw is corrupted with culling strike implicit so rearranging it is a bit troublesome.
For most situations, I just found fortify doesn't make much difference because your hardly ever in danger of dying. So, I just ended using flame dash because the gem colors were correct for it.
Although, for shaper. I think I'll have to give in rearrange the colors. Just too many scary things that hit like a truck.
Just to reiterate, for any new people. The Shaper does an attack slam which does 300% damage of his basic attack. His basic attack is 5689 which is roughly 17,067 physical damage with the 300% slam.
This pretty much one shots all builds, which is why you see everyone move out of the way in all [3.0] shaper videos. (it's not very hard to avoid either, so there's that)
Against armor with no extra physical mitigation the breakdown goes something like this
65000 Armor = 12359 damage taken
30000 Armor = 14515 damage taken
10000 Armor = 16122 damage taken
Against armor with 28% physical mitigation
65000 Armor = 7581 damage taken
30000 Armor = 9736 damage taken
10000 Armor = 11343 damage taken
Including, fortify.
65000 Armor = 6064 damage taken
30000 Armor = 7789 damage taken
10000 Armor = 9441 damage taken
So the builds that can tank shaper's slam need at least over 6000 to 7000 health with a ton of physical damage reduction from endurance, fortify, etc.... Or they need over 9000 to 13000 health with just fortify and some other ways of gaining physical damage reduction.
I can probably count the current harbringer builds that can tank shaper's slam on one hand. So for 99% of all builds. You are dead, probably 3 times over.
The slam can also be block'd or evaded. So for some builds, you'll take no damage some of the time.

Does it really deal only physical damage or some portion of elemental damage? It could be tested with IC active.
And what about critical hit. Does shaper have 5% crit chance/ 130% crit multi as typical monster?
Damage would go up to 22k then ...

My explosive arrow pathfinder has 100-120k Armour with... Iron reflexes.., determination, molten shell, three-step assault boots, and some good evasion rare equip. Of course three flasks always up. Flat Armour with 100% Armour, same for evasion, and stibnite. 82 max resists.
And... Still dying a lot in T14-15 full of sxtants' mob packs.
Only good news that Uber lab is a joke for me now.
My conclusion I say: don't stack more than 60-75 k Armour.

These mobs are probably doing elemental damage and armor won´t save you.

Well, did Chimera for the first time and if anyone wants to see how guardian fights go when you have ridiculous amounts of armor here you go.
I can also probably answer any questions about armor in general. Just thought I might as well throw this video out there for people wondering how good armor is for endgame fights.

Mind posting your build + gear. I'm using a similar build and I would like to see your way of doing it?

May be yes, may be not.

In this case I prefer having few armour (60-75k) and double my own dmg.)) if monster's life is shorter - ggg have less chances to strike simultaneously or critical etc. whatever happen

Hmm. It did roughly the same damage as I'd expect if it was pure physical, but yeah. Immortal Call would confirm it.
As for critical strikes. Shaper can critical hit, because I have word of light which triggers on critical hit. So, its a possible to get hit by a 22,000 damage slam.
Though, as crazy as it sounds. I'd still be able to survive with fortify, jesus christ. Might be one of the few times, I'd consider a granite flask on a build with already insane armor, to get even more insane armor to tank an attack.
